Barbara Robotham became our President in 1989. Her connection with the Choral Society started in 1957 when she sang in Messiah. Over the years she has frequently sung with the choir, culminating in her last-ever public performance which was at the Grand Theatre in 1997 when she sang in Verdi’s Requiem with her pupils Amanda Roocroft and Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts.
