How to join us
2
Come & Sing
Once you have completed the Join Us form, our Choir Secretary will make contact with you to arrange for you to join us at a rehearsal. We always advise prospective members to attend two rehearsals prior to making a decision on whether to become a member.
3
Be part of the Choral
Once you have attended two rehearsals, you will be asked if you would like to become a permanent member of the choral. Our Choral Director will then spend some
small group time with you to make sure you are singing in the right voice part and that you feel comfortable. However this is not an audition! We will also take payment for membership at this point.
Is there a membership fee?
The annual membership fee for the 2024/2025 season is £110.00. There is a reduced membership fee for those who are under 25 and members who are financially challenged.

Members are offered the choice of paying in two instalments
(2 x £60.00), once before the end of September and again before the end of January. This is at an additional fee of £10.00.

As a registered charity, we always encourage members to "Gift Aid" their fee which allows the choir to reclaim any tax on it.
Where and when do you rehearse?
Our rehearsals are normally held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The United Reformed Church Hall which is on the corner of St George's Road and Clifton Drive, just behind The Square in St Annes (FY8 2AE).

The 2024/2025 season runs from the beginning of September to the end of April.

There is an optional summer season at an additional small fee which is led by the Deputy Music Director.
Attendance
We ask for good attendance at rehearsal, which includes a compulsory attendance on the (usually) Saturday afternoon of the concert.

Members should sign a register sheet each week and bring a pencil (or purchase one at the rehearsal) to make note of comments and guidance from the Music Director. We trust that, during the singing part of rehearsals, conversation is kept to a minimum, especially when other ‘voices’ are going through a section.
